Rose

Cuvee Rose Laurent-Perrier suggests a basket full of small berry fruits: strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, redcurrants, and morello and black cherries. The overwhelming sensation is freshness. Fruit dominates the palate. Lively, well-rounded wine which combines structure and freshness. The forthright, slightly sharp attack is like breathing the heady aromas of a freshly-picked basket of berry fruits

Description

Created in 1968 using bold, innovative savoir-faire methods learnt from production of still wines called Coteaux Champenois. Perfected at each stage of its making, the Cuvee Rose is now the benchmark in its category. Held in an elegant wine bottle inspired by King Henri IV, this Rose Champagne has been widely acknowledged for its consistent high quality for more than 40 years. Laurent Perrier stands out from many of its competitors in that it 'macerates' its Rose rather than blending in red wine. Maceration simply means that once the grapes are pressed the juice is left in contact with the grape skins- and it is the skins which imparts the colour.
