Description
It takes some determination to build a distillery by hand, but that is precisely what William Grant and his 9 (yes, 9) children did back in 1886. After twelve months of what must have been hard labour the distillery was ready and named Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer, and started production on Christmas Day 1887 Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now one of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distilleries. Something tells me that Mr Grant would be very proud!
