Excellent value for this Chianti. I wonder how much more there is left.

Chianti with 7 years age for £10. Great

Initially I was pleased to buy this chianti at a good price. Unfortunately thereafter it became stressful and I do not recommend this company. The wine - in cardboard wine cartons - was left standing in the rain with no tracking information provided so I had no idea it had arrived. I live in rural wales and the pallet of several boxes went undiscovered overnight. Indeed I chased up on email (no one answers the phone) to ask for delivery information so I could be sure to be home when it arrived. Alex replied he knew nothing, and I suspect didn’t even look into it. Finally the evening after it was dropped off I found the wine, dumped and sodden. Temperatures were around 1 degrees and there was snow on the hills. Clearly not suitable for wine which should avoid temperature extremes.
I had to bring it in and dry it off bottle by bottle which took up all the floor space. The BottleClub was not interested although I’d spent hundreds of pounds and am a repeat customer.
The first bottle I tried was also corked so that made me anxious. The rest i hope will survive. It’s for an event in a few months. Never again. The delivery company clearly didn’t know it was delivering wine and took no care. Alex at the bottle club was not helpful - just standard sorry for any inconvenience type replies. I really recommend avoiding the bottle club if you possibly can.
