This 2013 Islay barley release is distilled from barley grown on six western and central Islay farms. The spirit has been matured in a mix of 75% fresh bourbon casks, 25% second and third fill sweet white wine casks. These bring a gentle cask influence to this vibrant terroir whisky – Islay grown, distilled, matured and bottled.Limited in production this was released as 6 year old Malt and leans towards a beautifully soft and creamy mouth feel, as rich natural oils from the barley coat the taste buds with delicate elderflower and honeysuckle, and gorgeous barley sugar sweetness..
