This special edition of Johnnie Walker Blue Label recreates the Johnnie Walker blending style in the time of King George V and celebrates the granting of a Royal Warrant to John Walker & Sons in 1934. This is a powerful, slow and exceptional blend. This blend includes Port Ellen, a highly prized malt whose distillery no longer exists.

Description

John Walker clearly wasn't a sentimental man. Within a year of his Father dying (in 1819) he had sold the family's farm and set up his own Grocery Store. His business acumen was never in question though and the store went from strength to strength. He was also frustrated by the quality inconsistencies of Malt Whiskies available at the time. This simply wasn't good enough for him and so soon the store saw an addition to its shelves- his own blended whisky.

Rob Roy Cocktail Recipe

If there was ever a cocktail to make you feel the glitz and glamour of the history and chic society of New York, it's ordering a Rob Roy. The Rob Roy is a riff on a Manhattan, with their only difference being the base liquor. A Rob Roy is made using blended Scotch while a Manhattan is made with Rye. As such, the cocktail is malty and smooth, with a bit of spice on the finishing end.
