Regular price £35.99
Barrel Infused Spiced Rum is a pioneering barrel infusion of ten exotic fruits and spices and the finest St. Lucian rum. The 10 exotic fruits and spices include clove, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, star anise, coconut, orange, lemon and honey. These are used to naturally infuse the rum during the ageing process which lasts for three years in premium bourbon barrels. The rum is cut to 40% ABV using water naturally filtered through volcanic rock. The rounded, complex nose has notes of chocolate, sweet citrus, clove and honey. The palate is hugely spiced, full bodied, complex and balanced. Read more.

Description
The eight elements referred to here are the different stages and variables that distillers must work/ contend with when creating Rum (and indeed most spirits). Namely, these are Terrior (soil and surroundings); the sugar cane; water; fermentation; distillation, aging (often in oak barrels); blending and filtration. Initially launched in 2006 aimed at the bar trade, the Rums quickly established themselves as smoother and rather more complex than most meaning that their presence in many cocktails became common place just as quickly.
Tasting Notes
Spicy, complex but well balanced.
