Cambus 40 Year Old Whisky, 70 cl Whisky 5000281046167

One of only around 1,100 bottles produced. This is powerful but in the proper sense- you'll get full flavours but lasting over an exceptionally long finish rather than all at once. There's plenty to discover- pear, caramel (maybe fudge?). Described as'extraordinary",",beyond beautiful' by Jim Murray in his 2018 Whisky Bible.

Description

Given the distillery it will come as no surprise to many of you that this is the oldest ever release from this hallowed Distillery. Cambus originally opened its doors in 1806 to produce Malt Whisky but was later converted in the 1830s to produce Grain whisky and became part of The Distillery Company (now Diageo and a considerably larger company).

Rob Roy Cocktail Recipe

If there was ever a cocktail to make you feel the glitz and glamour of the history and chic society of New York, it's ordering a Rob Roy. The Rob Roy is a riff on a Manhattan, with their only difference being the base liquor. A Rob Roy is made using blended Scotch while a Manhattan is made with Rye. As such, the cocktail is malty and smooth, with a bit of spice on the finishing end.
