But what actually is this most beloved beverage? Pimm's is a gin-based fruit cup / liqueur, first produced by James Pimm, way back in 1823. As you’re more than likely aware, Pimm’s No. 1 is a quintessentially British liqueur, but what you might not already know is that it’s made by infusing gin with a secret concoction of botanicals, caramelised orange, and warm spices.
