This boozy, buttery spread combines the rich flavors of dark chocolate, stout beer, and toasted marshmallows for an indulgent treat that’s perfect for slathering on toast, crackers, or even straight from the spoon.
Method
- Prepare the syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and about 1/8 cup of water. Stir until dissolved.
- Melt the marshmallows: Add mini marshmallows to the saucepan and continue stirring until completely melted. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then immediately remove from heat.
- Incorporate the chocolate: Quickly stir in the chopped dark chocolate, vanilla extract, butter, and stout beer. Mix until smooth and glossy.
- Cool and serve: Let the spread cool slightly before using. Spread over toast, crackers, or desserts, and sprinkle with extra graham crackers and marshmallows for garnish.
