One of the great Macallan releases. Given access to some of the most extensive ranges of cooperage in Spain has resulted in a superbly diverse whisky. The nose has hints of citrus notes (apple and lemon) although driven mainly by vanilla and raisin. On the palate you will find rich oak balanced beautifully with vanilla and chocolate. A treat? Absolutely. Highly limited as well.

Description
The Macallan Estate is some 360 hectares in size and stunning to boot. The whiskies themselves have long been those of great distinction and full of character. At the heart of their creation is the Estate's own Minstrel Barley and the smallest stills in Speyside. Both go to ensure the house's signature rich, fruity and full flavours are ever present. If you ever come across an old Scottish 10 note, you will spot these very stills which appeared on the back of the note for a number of years.

Rob Roy Cocktail Recipe
If there was ever a cocktail to make you feel the glitz and glamour of the history and chic society of New York, it's ordering a Rob Roy. The Rob Roy is a riff on a Manhattan, with their only difference being the base liquor. A Rob Roy is made using blended Scotch while a Manhattan is made with Rye. As such, the cocktail is malty and smooth, with a bit of spice on the finishing end.
